The official made this statement during a luncheon organised for the leadership of the state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.

He said:

“For the past five years, I realize from time to time, that we have cause to ask CAN/PFN to organise interdenominational services, to pray for the state, government and even Nigeria because we have so many problems. For the past five years, the church has been interceding for me, my family and the state; hence the luncheon, to thank God for what He has been using you, and will continue to use you, to do for the peace and unity of the state.”

Speaking earlier, state chairman of CAN, Most Reverend Peter Imasuen, who was represented by Reverend Richard Ofere, commended the governor for his developmental strides in the state and urged him to remain focused.

Additionally, Mr. Imasuen thanked the governor for his administration’s timely intervention in the erosion-ravaged areas of Ekehuan and Queen Ede in Benin City as well as Auchi and other areas in the state.
