GOD HELP: Christians Bombed In Baghdad, Many Die

Explosion caused by bomb set in a car near a church in Baghdad, Iraq, has killed 24 people as Iraqi Christians celebrated Christmas, officials say.

The device went off in the Doura district of the city as worshippers left a Christmas Day service.

Reportedly not less than 28 people were wounded. According to the police, most of the victims are Christians.

Iraq’s ancient Christian community has more than halved in recent years, from an estimated population of 900,000.

Churches have been targeted across the country since the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003.

In the course of 2010 attack by gunmen on the Catholic Cathedral in Baghdad more than 50 people died.
